MEET ELISE

My view on therapy

As a fellow New Yorker who balances personal and professional commitments, I get what it’s like to juggle all of life’s responsibilities. Therapy can be the missing link to one’s happiness and future success. In our work together, you will discover how to live exactly the life that you want, on your terms.

I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy to be the best version of themselves! Going to therapy is like taking a class: You 101. You’ll unlock your confidence, learn how to understand yourself better, and add coping skills to your toolbox to use for the rest of your life. You’ll look within to navigate your life and make decisions moving forward.

My style

I’ve worked with creatives, celebrities, professionals, CEOs, new parents, college students, and recent grads. I work best with people who are frustrated with being unfulfilled and are willing to take an active role towards discovering fulfillment. I’m caring, curious, energetic, and interactive- I’m not the therapist who sits back. I’m highly motivated to help you transform your life. I’ve heard it all and I’m not afraid of any emotion or topic of conversation. Even if you think your problems aren’t big enough of a deal to share, they’re important to me.  We’ll balance the seriousness with laughter, and you’ll start to notice changes in your mood from our first session. I love my job and care deeply about your improvement.

People always wonder who’s behind the therapist curtain and just know that I’m a real person. In my free time I enjoy listening to live music, playing tennis, and swimming in the ocean.

For those of you who are curious about my professional training:

Prior to private practice, I worked as a therapist and career counselor at universities and non-profits. After years in the field I’ve honed my expertise and continue regular trainings in these areas: anxiety and stress reduction, relational concerns (family, romantic, peer, work relationships), college transitions, career/executive coaching, low self-esteem, and learning disabilities. Types of treatment: I am thoughtful and personalize my treatment based on the varying needs of each client. I use holistic and evidence-based approaches. These may include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Theory, Relational Therapy, Attachment Based, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, Strengths Based, and Career Counseling.
